Our School
Hussain Public School follows the curriculumn provided by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. 10 years of school education is being imparted in three segments viz Lower Primary School, Higher Primary School and High School.
Young learners in their initial stages of learning i.e., between the ages of 5
and 10, acquire most of the concepts which they need in consolidating learning
in later stages.
Based on these principles, in the early stages from class 1 to 4, the following
subject areas have been introduced - Mother tongue, State language, English as
a practice language, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. The kids are also
encouraged and given physical education for better physical growth.
This comprises of classes starting from 5 to 7. There are three core subjects,
namely, mathematics, science and social science.
The learner is encouraged to think, engage in activities, master skills and
competencies. The scientific temperament is given a push and students are
prepared for future studies. They are appreciated to take part in co-curricular
activities like sports, debates, quizzes, elocution, essay writing etc.
This comprises of classes starting from 8 to 10 standard. The syllabi and
textbooks developed on the basis of NCF attempts to discourage rote learning and
the maintenance of sharp boundaries between different subject areas.
With these measures it will take us significantly further in the direction of a
child-centred system of education. The students are prepared to tackle the in-depth
studies of the subjects learnt so far.
